Weighting Scheme:

What is weighting?

Weighting is a data processing technique that can reduce the influence of trials with high amplitude noise in an averaged waveform. Weighting was acheived by multiplying each trial's time series data by the ratio of the minimum RMS amplitude across all trials to that trial's own RMS amplitude.

\[ \text{Response Waveform}_{\text{Current Trial}} \;\times\; \frac{\text{RMS}_{\min}}{\text{RMS}_{\text{Current Trial}}} \]
